NASA Satellites: Elara Illustrates the Orbits
Google “A-Train” and what do you get? Anything from an 80’s band from North Louisiana to a new train in Sweden named “Trainy McTrainface.” And while those are enormously interesting, the most relevant result is the A-Train Satellite. The “Afternoon Train” is a constellation of six Earth observation satellites in sun-synchronous orbit.
They are spaced a few minutes apart from each other so their collective observations may be used to build high-definition three-dimensional images of the Earth’s atmosphere and surface. While we could bore you with lots of facts and figure, here at Elara, we choose to engage your eyes, ears and brain by presenting a beautiful, out-of-this-world animation.
Elara. Out of this world.
