Sacramento, CA – October 2018 – Elara recently won the W3 Silver Award for best Branded Entertainment–Animation for their Boston Scientific GUIDEZILLA II animation project. The award-winning video uses innovative medical animation to illustrate details and convey the benefits of the guided extension catheter.
The W3 Awards honor companies that demonstrate digital excellence by way of websites, web marketing, video, mobile sites/apps, and social content. It is the first major web competition that offers accessibility and an even playing field for businesses of all sizes — from the smallest firms to Fortune 500 companies. The W3 Awards are sanctioned and judged by the Academy of Interactive and Visual Arts (AIVA), an invitation-only body of top-tier professionals within media, advertising, and marketing.

The animated video was judged based on a standard of excellence and a 100-point scale determined by AIVA. It was one of a select few chosen to represent excellence on the web out of more than 5,000 entries.
In GUIDEZILLA II, Elara highlights the benefits and features of Boston Scientific’s guide extension catheter with top-quality animation. From comparing their size matrix to animating their helical design, the video utilizes data and statistics as well as impressive images. GUIDEZILLA II even includes a realistic animation of how the catheter travels through the human body. The video represents Elara’s ability to bring complex healthcare topics to life.
